i there any difference in the frame 3/4 to 1/2 ton on these trucks

The short answer is yes.
There's added braces in a cpouple spots, and the cab mounts are lower.
Other than that, pretty much the same.

I`m not sure what you may be pondering.But,if you are considering replacing your 1/2t`s frame with one from a 3/4t,you`ll never notice the difference.The only thing you`ll run into is the rear cab mounts are located lower on the frame.So,the 3/4t (and 4wd) cab mount bushings are different/taller.So,you`ll need those for a 3/4t.

No problem whatsoever. You will have to move the mounts regardless of 1/2T or 3/4T frame. You can even switch the 3/4T mounts to 1/2T if you want. Take a look at my 67 CrewCab build. I've got some pretty good picture of the frame mounts. There are also 2 links that show how to shortend the LWB frame using different methods (step and 45 degree cuts). Good luck.

the only model to get the oddball cab mounts is the 1/2 ton 2 wheel drive.
All 4X4 trucks, and all 3/4 ton trucks, got the lower mounting point, which takes a taller rubber mount.

It has been speculated (and basicly agreed upon) that the taller mounts that go on trucks with stiffer springs, is purely for comfort.

I think the difference in cab mounts mattered more to the engineers than our real world experience.I`d just leave them be and save the labor.Besides,your truck will be more comfortable if you listen to the engineers.
