Chassis Wiring Harnesses

Does anyone have their opinion of the replacement chassis wiring harnesses? I've seen the taillight kit go for $70 on up, so I'm wondering if it wouldn't be just as cheap to buy my own wire and connectors and make my own harness. Aside from the fact that the replacements are already made, what makes them any better?

Opinions ?

If you have the ability to make your own harness than it is likely that it would be cheaper than to buy a harness from a vendor. JMO

Re: Chassis Wiring Harnesses

if its the taillight harness your looking to build the easy way is to go to a trailer store buy the wire 4wires molded together and make your taillight harness out of that save a bunch of money// biggest ripoff in the automotive hobby is the wiring kits

That's what I was kind of leaning towards, minus the new pigtails that comes with the kits.
