Bye Everyone!!

Sold the Blazer a couple weeks ago at a car show. It was a hard decision, but I did already find a new project to take its place, hopefully that gets better mileage.

BYE....BYE BLAZER!!! We'll miss you!!!

Too bad he didn't want the teardrop camper also. He is going to make it into a 2 wheel drive and lives down the road a little ways and I will try to update you with some of his progress as he goes along.

Hello 1946 Chevy Sedan Delivery!

I am way over my head on this one, but only paid $500 and the only thing that needs to be replaced is the floor pans. Other than the interior it is all there and it runs and drives.

Thanks everyone for all the information, ideas and stories...I will hopefully be back some day once I get a bigger garage and keep all the toys without having to sell one to make room for another...maybe when Green Monster's comes up on ebay again.

Thanks again!!

Re: Bye Everyone!!

don't think I have ever seen one of those in person...and couldn't think of what it would look like complete - so thx to the internet - I found some pix of some that are done.

Looks like a nice project - good luck!

Don't go just since ya sold your Blazer, enjoyed reading about the teardrop trailor. I won't flame you for not owning a Jimmy/Blazer... It's all about contributing interesting info., and you seem to fit the bill

I will still check in to keep up with all the current undergoing projects. The main thing that was getting hard to justify was the 2 other vehicles I drove that got 8-10 miles/gallon. Sold the Blazer and my pickup the same week and bought a Dodge Magnum (my new everyday vehicle) and the 1946 Chevy the following week. Now I am down to one gas guzzler a Ford Excursion with the V10 to pull my campers and the whole family and it hasn't moved in 3 weeks. Would of sold/traded that off and kept the truck but I couldn't of gotten anything for it.

My next teardrop camper is going to be a version of this to pull behind the 1946 Chevy.

The one I have is the only one I have seen in person and you can't find a lot of pictures on the internet either...kind of why I liked it. Figure it will be at least a couple year project, but even compared to the Blazer it is so easy to take a part and figure out.

My idea now is to keep it stock as possible, but may have to change accordingly. Kind of like the Blazer.

Re: Bye Everyone!!

Sorry to hear about the selling of the Blazer, but at least you got a fun new project in return. Like others have said, stay on the board! Pleanty of good drivetrain and suspention info around here than I'm sure you can use, especialy if you update it.

I told him about it and the people here wouldn't mind a project report as he went along and a lot people here could give him good information if he ended up having problems.

The thought did crossed my mind, but I think it would have to be a S10 Blazer.
