thanks for the pics so far everyone.
regarding the purple/silver truck, that is a local guy i know, Jarron. the truck is real clean inside and out, pretty much stock crate motor under the hood. its a short wheel base. 17 inch rims i'll check on the tire sizes, i know the rears are 275's. i'm buying the hood from him too, to put on my truck. its real nice glass hood, that has finished sufaces on both sides. i think its 3 inches. he goes to alot of shows in the austin/huston areas with the club he is in called visual insanity.

hehe, you think thats alot of camber, eh? you should have seen it right after i finished the front end. it looked like / \ and yeah i did have it aligned after i dropped it. it does look like there is about 1 degree of negative camber on both sides but thats as close as the shop could get it and the tire ware is pretty even. but thanks for noticing:p

Ryan, did you use 3" coils? If so this is the reason. My front end guy, which BTW, is the best I've ever used had trouble with mine when I had the supposedly 2" Eibach coils in my truck. He couldn't get it to factory specs no matter what he did. I think someone messed up with them anyway, they were really 2.5" coils going by other things I measured them with.
Anyway, he told me they make offset shafts for the upper control arm that will fix this. What is wrong is he ran out of threads on the control arm mounting bolts. Ahh, part of the fun of dropping a truck, right? Mike |

My work in progress. 1987 C10 3/4 drop. This is the truck I want to change the fuel tank location in. In this pic the rear had only been lowered 2"

acutauly mike i used 2.5 inchers. but close enough. the bigger the coil drop the harder they are to get alinged. i know the guys shop that did it and they know there stuff. and got it as close as they could. i've got a few thousand on it since the drop and don't have any major ware problems so its good enough for me. i had trouble getting the 64 aligned too and i only used 1.5 inch coils on it, you said it, the fun part of dropping a truck
just looked at the top pic agian too, the wheels are turned to the left a little in the pic which makes it look worse than it actualy is
