2002 truck seats

I have searched and searched and haven't really found what i am looking for.I went to look at a pair of buckets with a center seat similar to the picture. They are excatly what i want to put in my truck but they have the integrated seat belts which i can live with that but i measured and looked them all over and from what i could tell there isn't much you can do to lower the overall installation height. You might be able to shave an inch off but i don't think that is enough to lower them down to an acceptable height since i am 5'11" and a little bit of a lower bulge....ok ok a large one.So what I getting at has anybody my size installed a set of these in a 73-87 with good results as i love them, the way they look ,the lumbar controls and the center seat, cup holder would make my truck so much more comfortable to drive.Pictures would be excellent if you have any...thanks

Re: 2002 truck seats

You will have to build your own brackets. The late model seats have a two piece assembly that takes up a lot of space, and they are mounted to a flat floor. The 73-87 truck floor is raised to accommodate the gas tank tucking under the cab.

Your better off looking at 96-99 truck seats.

Re: 2002 truck seats

would the 96-99 truck seats come fairly close to bolting up?

Not really, but it takes a whole lot less to make it happen. Contact Capt Kaos if you want to go this route. He has a template made for a mounting plate to bolt the 96-99 seats on . Then you use the existing holes to mount them down.

I put a set of them in my Blazer, but it took several mods to make the power seat brackets work. Capt Koas has a better solution.
