Help....Replacing Rear spring wiht Air Bag

Ok Im looking to replace the rear springs of my 69 Chevy 3/4 ton with air bags. whats the cheapest way to do this? Whats the biggest bag I can use? I have looked around and saw alot of posts but im starting my own.... I really want to fab the brackets myself anyone know how I can do this? any help is appreciated. any step by step instructions or magazine articles? anything will help at this point. Im going to just chop the front springs. Im not looking for an extreme drop just want some room to play with it.

Bolt the bag in place of the coils. You'll need two 7" (Firestone F-6873/224c or Slam Specialties RE-7 approx 8" max/3"min height) or 8" (F-stone F-7325/26c or SS RE-8's approx 10" max/3" min height); two 90° air bag fittings for .250" DOT airline, & 2 schrader valves. This gets you a manual fill system that's adjustable just like the air pressure in your tires.

Bags are about $80ea, fittings $5 each, plus the DOT airline. Brackets aren't needed to swap the bags in place. They will make the install easier but add to the overall height of the bag vs. not using brackets.

AirRide or various other companies sell brackets to make bolting the bags in pretty straight forward. Call them & they should be able to get you what you need. The rest of the stuff is a Google search away (or use the board supporting vendors ).
