Wiring diagram for engine compartment with factory AC NEEDED!
everyone,
I have a 72 gmc truck and 72 blazer cst. Both with factory air set up. I am putting the engine back into the truck and want to eventually get the ac running. Problem is that the wiring was not hooked up to the AC on either vehicle and I dont know what goes where. If I remember right there was a solonoid on the carb that kicked it up a bit when the ac was on, but I can find no info on this or any other items for the ac wiring. If I do a forum search it dumps the words air, conditioning, and ac as being too common or long. Can someone/anyone please point me in the right direction? I have looked at the color wiring diagram in the sticky section under electrical but there is no ac shown. Thanks in advance for any help. Last edited by Jerblazer72; 09-09-2008 at 06:08 PM. Re: Wiring diagram for engine compartment with factory AC
Here is an AC wiring diagram. It does not have the carb solenoid wiring that you are asking about. I have only seen trucks with a solenoid as part of the TCS setup and I don't have any wiring information on what you are asking for on it. Maybe someone else has the info on the solenoid like you are thinking of.

Re: Wiring diagram for engine compartment with factory AC
Not sure where I saw it maybe LMC but any auto parts place will sell the solinoid but no bracket. The solinoid hooks to the wire on the compressor so it will operate when compressor is on
