newbie question
im trying 2 figure out how to adjust the float on my edelbrock carb and all the websites i went 2 just confuse me, im not really smart when it comes to carbs. i have searched the site but can't find anything.

Which Edelbrock do you have? Is it the Q-Jet (19xx) series or the AFB-type (13xx) series?

Good ole brute force
 You have to bent it by hand. I can't remember the measurments off hand but maybe you can call them and speak to a tech rep and they'll be able to tell you.

to be honest, i cant find the numbers that ChevLoRay is talking about. i just know of the ones on the front on the passanger side.

I believe this is the adjuster screw for idling/fuel flow.

Take the airhorn off, turn it upside down, and you want a 7/16'' drill bit to fit between the float and the air horn body.

That screw you highlighted sets the idle speed. The two 45deg angle screws with the springs under the heads at the front of the carb set the idle mixture.
Are you having a flooding problem? Usually the floats don't go out of adjustment.
