Anyone running parrallel 4 link?

I want to install parrallel 4 link. Any pros or cons to this setup that I should know? Anyone have pics?

There's a lot of opinions on what is best, and it just depends on your application and likes. Its great because the pinion angle doesn't change as it moves up and down, but that can create negatives if you are on air and like to drive it at multiple heights. All just a matter of what your doing with it and what your willing to accept and be ok with.

I see...Can you be more specific? I will be on air and plant to only have two heights. A few inches off the ground and lying on the frame. I’m just not sure if the position matters. You know, the connection to the frame, adjustment of the bars (length), or anything else. I like it because it seems easier to install than triangulated 4 link. I have other options, like two bars and a wishbone. So I am open to the idea of other types of 4 link, but like i said, this seems easier. Not everything is as it seems though.

easier maybe but you need a panhard bar with a parallel 4 link. same with most 4-link you need to stay within the set ride height for the best pinion angle...as well as longer bars generally ride better.

I was going to use a wishbone rather than a panhard (is that okay?). Also, I suppose that I will always have it at ride height except for car shows etc...Correct?

you mean like a three link (upper links connected)...if so its not needed. if you wanna run a wishbone than use one lower link (per side) and i would mount the bags on the lower link for more lift and a better ride... but a panhard is was easier to setup than a wishbone.

a properly set up panhard bar will give you NO troubles. I'm running a parallel four link with a nice long panhard bar and it's fine. I have sleeve bags over the axle and it rides like a Cadillac.

Here's the wishbone I built for the rear of my '62. This would work great for a parallel four link. The middle link to the rear end is telescopic so the axle tracks straight and the suspension can run in it's arc without trying to rip apart the locator and will not travel in a side-to-side arc during suspension travel. Also, if you run the upper bars at a more downward angle to the lower bars accordingly, and depending on the length of all the bars. the pinion angle will stay in perfect relation to the driveshaft.

My $0.02 : most serious Drag Racers use the 4 Link because of the adjustment will allow you to make it track the way you want it to. Also you can use what is called a watts link in place of the panhard bar. There was a build thread here at one time that had links to a website with a working watts link and 4 link set up.

I think this is the kit that I have, only mine has a longer panhard bar. I also fabbed my own upper and lower mounts, and am no longer running the shocks it came with.

The mounts for my four link are actually a little high, but they are pretty close to parallel. When I put mine together is was all a guess... wish I knew now what I didn't know then, but it all seems to work just fine.
