Hi guys-my washer pump hasn't worked since before I owned the truck (although, it may have stopped working shortly after-don't honestly remember. The motor SOUNDS like it's trying to squirt, even though it doesn't work. No matter, I've purchased a rebuild kit for it and I just have one small question....

Can anyone provide a picture of where the darn thing is????!!!

dont have a pic but it is on the inside of the truck under the dashboard....if you shine a light up under the dash right between the ash tray and gas pedal you will see it up there.....not much fun to get to either.......

Here is a pict where I think it is at,,,,I found it while stripping the cab out completely....

Just my opinion, take it for what it's worth. I haven't had much luck rebuilding these pumps. And when they start to go bad they leak inside your cab. I like to use an electric inline washer pump (9.99) and connect it in the engine bay. That way if it leaks for whatever reason, I don't have wet carpet/ or the radio doesn't get wet on the backside. Just a thought.

How do you wire those up to work with the wiper switch?

On my 69, I spliced into the hot wire going to the pump. I didn't like all the noise of the original pump -and it is somewhat inefficient.

The washer jug came out of a little chevy car. Sorry don't know what it was just saw it and grabed it. It hooks up easly enough though.
The box beside it is my cold air box for the TPI unit.

elektrik , I hope you've already ruled out the obvious. You say the pump sounds like its working, just make sure all lines are clear, filter is clean as well as those little squirters pointing at your windshield. Its amazing what a cutting torch tip cleaner can accomplish!

I did-I'm pretty sure it isn't working correctly, but that's a good point-I'll just hook up some hose and see if the pump pumps at all first...else I'm just gonna rebuild....

Yellow wires at the motor are the 12v+ wires. (Wire leaves fuse box, then runs to motor, then jumps to second pin on motor...see picture)
The Dark Blue wire (when grounded) is for the WASH feature. (It's the wire closest to you in the photo)
The Black wire (when grounded) is for HIGH speed.
The Light Blue wire (when grounded at the same time as the Black) is for LOW speed. (It's the wire that is in the background in the picture)

The plug on the back of the switch will only plug in one way. The switch has to be in the hole before it will work because that is the ground connection for it.

I know this is old, but I picked up an Anco inline pump today with a power wire and a ground.

What do I hook up to? The red to the dark blue or ?
