Blinker Stem/Arm

The stinkin' blinker stem broke off. What exactly is the part that it mounts into? Does anybody know? I hate to start buying a bunch steering wheel components that I don't need.

I appreciate the help.

Re: Blinker Stem/Arm

it mounts to your turn signal assembly "in the column",
which means you'll need to pull the steering wheel
After you get to that point you'll know if that assembly is cracked...
or needs replaced.

Re: Blinker Stem/Arm

Is the steering wheel the only thing you have to pull to get to the assembly? I need to replace mine. And I'd like to put the steering wheel back on straight too...

Mine's a '73, but I figure close enough.

There are a couple more steps and tools involved on your 73 due to the columns now having a wheel lock/key in column function.

Re: Blinker Stem/Arm

Make sure the part you by has the provision or a straight arm. Some of the ones they were selling as a replacement had it at an angle. Also the Assemblies had a different Hazard knob.
I got my stuff from Wes @ Classic Heartbeat. (he has the correct stuff)
