Wheelbase question

I need to get the wheel base for my blazer to do my suspension but it's on my rotisserie. Without spending the whole day taking it off, mounting it and putting it back on, can I just mount a fender and measure center line of the wheel wells?

69-72 Blazer wheelbase is 104"

Mine is actually a crossover. It was a 4x that I converted. I cut the front clip and installed a 72 and notched the rear. I kinda dig the rear of the frame beause there is no curve to it. I got 104.5 before I removed the body but prior to doing the 4 link I just wanted to confirm. If it is 104, I hope the 1/2" wont become an issue.

If the 1/2" pushes the front wheels forward or the rears back for that matter they will be better centered than stock when lowered.

ahhh, this sucks. Now I dont remember and will have to take it down and mount the body and fenders again. There's a lesson here somewhere.

Sounds to me like the rear had not moved when you took the measurement and therefore the front was 1/2" forward of stock which is a good thing.

I hear ya but I'm getting ready to do the 4 link so I guess I should know where to put the new rear end. Id hate to weld in perm tabsjust to grind them off. Are you guys sure that it's 104 and not 104.5?

I could easily adjust my axle 1/2 either way with my adjustable four link.

Get the adjustable tabs so then you can figure those details out in the end. Build it to 104.5 and have the adjustments out a little over 1/2 inch so then you can tighten it back down to 104 if it turns out its 104.
