hood hinges?

I have a dropmember (still in the box) 2" spindle, 255/35/20 tire. Aired out will my factory hood hinges clear, or if not what hinge should I use? I don't want forward tilt. I want something simple and neat. I don't really want billet but if that's the best choice.

Re: hood hinges?

Thats interesting tommypic, I work for a dodge dealer and those look identical to some that we have in stock. If I remember I will try and find them today. Of course everyone know about chrysler and diamler, they very well may be the same.... and cheaper through dodge!

we kinda did the same thing on my truck, but the hinges come out the top of the cowl instead of the firewall. I dont really have a close up pic but you can see them in this pic..

Re: hood hinges?

Wow! I have the buick hinge to do the forward tilt but wasn't 100% sold on the idea but that is a good look there.

thanks for sharing.

to o.p. you may be able to trim the forward most of the three bolts and cut the hinge back a little depending on how low you go with how big a tire. Probably have to test fit as you assemble and may not give the look you want. I had to ditch mine because they became structurally unsound by the time I was done trimming.
