Angry Body swap

I have a 65 c-10,i would like to make it 4x4 by possibly swapping the whole frame to my body.question:is there and easier way,im not even sure what year frames would work as far as mountings and wheelbase, was thinking something in the mid seventies.wanded to have all the p/s and brakes and newer things.mine has the factory indash a/c and i am the second owner of the truck has original bed wood and still even has the a/c bowtie sticker in tact in rear window, anyone that has a input please let me know thanks

Re: Body swap

I am not sure of your skills, but a body swap for me is a very easy job. I am going to guess that you are doing a long box, so I would start with a 73 up chevy lb and get out the tape measure. As far as cab mounts go, it only metal. Set the body on, adjust it to where it looks right, make some measurements and make sure its square, level, centered and such, then build the cab mounts. I would use some high quality poly cab bushings.

Re: Body swap

I am going to move this over to the 4x4 forum. This has been done and I am thinking maybe a subrban frame might work best. Not really sure about your year of truck.

Re: Body swap

Not sure how far your willing to go but here is a nice chassis 4x4 setup. It's a roller too. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Cars-...=p4506.c0.m245
