Blazer redo (PICS)

I am redoing my blazer. After seeing how nice some other members blazers are (especially kevsclassics) I decided to clean mine up a little. I am trying to get it ready for cruzin the coast in Mississippi.

Re: Blazer redo (PICS)

I am going to redo the interior in black. I rewired the entire blazer and put in a new fuse block. Repainted the entire thing, smoothed up firewall and added fender wells.

How can you not know where Nacogdoches is? It's about 100 miles southeast of Dallas. Close to the Louisiana border.

Re: Blazer redo (PICS)

That looks great!!
A few questions for you, did you go with suicide doors? What are the little Grey box's on the back side of the B pillars? Will it roll when it is all the way down or are you dragging? Last one is on the rear wheel wells they look flat on the top, is that for any particular reason? I am asking this because I think your turned out great (both times) and I am just getting ready to start on my 70 2WD so it is in the planning stages right now.

Thanks,
Kevin

Re: Blazer redo (PICS)

Man, I wish I would have known the Blazer was a board member's, I would have run over faster to see you folks before you headed off into the mall area (I guess). Saw you at Edgewater on Saturday for Cruising. Beautiful job on the Blazer.

Well maybe we'll get to hook up at next years Cruising the Coast.

What did you end up doing for hood hinges? I see you were forward tilt, but now it looks like they are cowl mounted...

That grey box behind the B pillar is a foam cushin to hold the side panel tight. the front cross member and the rear hangers drag when you let it all the way down but thats cool for throwing sparks. The back wheel wells are trailer fenders. Single trailer fenders were to smal so I have to get trailer fenders for 2 axles and cut them down. The interior is finished now and I will post pics as soon as I can take some.
