Header coatings, need some info please - The 1947 - Present Chevrolet & GMC Truck Message Board Network

I have a set of Blackjack headers to go on my 350. I am going to have them sandblasted in the next week or so and was wondering how to finish them. Do i need to use a heat resistant primer before i apply the paint? Or is there any other options I should look at? This truck is only driven in the summer, and up here, that only about 2 months. Thanks

I used Eastwoods stainless steel manifold coating on the headers on my 409 and it's holding up great. I have 6,000 miles on now and they look like the day I did them. I don't drive the car in the rain so I don't know how it would hold up in those conditions.
