Can anyone 3 wheel?

You guys with the air ride, can anyone get the 3 wheel motion. Like the Lowrider guys with the hydros. Any pics?

Re: Can anyone 3 wheel?

You can 3-wheel if your air-bag is set up correctly. (Each bag is independent from each other) As Shane stated, I don't think this forum is a 3-wheel motion type of crowd.

I will tell you that I didn't even hafta use my AK - I guess today was a good day.

Re: Can anyone 3 wheel?

I would think it would be difficult, do to the limitation of the air bag as ur spring. It can be made using a check valve on the exhaust side of the bag but then the suspension would drop another issue needing to be adressed(sp?) it can be accomplishe easily using air cylinders. But the ride would be horrable unless an accumulator is used therefore adding to the build $$ wise.

Can it be done? Yes, it can it just take ingenuity, time and money... It just cheaper to add hydros with accumulators in my opinion.

I never thought I'd see one of these trucks do that.

Re: Can anyone 3 wheel?

1loC10, that is sweet!! Did you have to turn real fast in order to get it to do that, or is that for real? It's still kewl!! The reason why I ask about the 3 wheel thing is because sometimes people ask me if it will. I don't have the airride installed on the rear of my 72 GMC yet, but I get people asking me if it will hop and 3 wheel. That is why I ask.

Re: Can anyone 3 wheel?

You can probably only do it with out sway bars and that is taking it in the opposite direction most people want to go IMO

Is it just me or is that about the silliest looking things you can do with a vehicle?

It doesn't bother me as long as it's "his" truck that's about to crash to the ground. As long as no one gets hurt I enjoy watching people tear their stuff up. Lets all drag our roll pans off too...;0)

Her's my attempt at a 3 wheel. Yes, I know "epic fail"

Yo Chilli D-Oh Double G ..it's not a matter of hate as it is a matter of indifference. In other words, we don't hate it, we just don't care about it.

technically still a 3 wheel though right

ive always loved the cars that 3 wheel even before i knew what a wrench was , most of them have triangulated 4 links rear and no sway bar front and hydros of course

ive seen a few air ride truck 3 wheel though, i think u could still 3 wheel with a sway bar in front just air it up high and have a 4 link with alot of articulation and dump one side on the rear and turn
