Emergency Help Needed!
Got my new skyjacker lift installed on my stock '72 4x4 Blazer and took it for an alignment (swapped the steering box while I was at it) and the alignment place busted the bar that runs between the tie rods. Forgive me as I don't know the correct name for it. Can you guys tell me what other trucks and years (if any) will interchange with this part. If anyone happens to have one or know where I can get one please let me know as my truck is stuck on this guys alignment lift.
Thanks!!!

Assuming that you have a D44, almost all of them will. At least until 76 when the started swapping in 10B's in the front. |

Re: Emergency Help Needed!
Shouldn't the shop have to fix that? I have one but shipping would be more than just going to the Junk Yard and getting another one.

Re: Emergency Help Needed!
thanks guys for the input. So you are saying anything with a D44 up to '76 will work?

Re: Emergency Help Needed!
here's a pic. I'm going to get new outer tie rods. Will one of these steering connectors work off anything up to '76 with a D44?
thanks.

Re: Emergency Help Needed!
That part is called the tie rod. The outer parts that you replace as "wear items" are called tie rod ends. The tie rod itself is not really a "wear item" and may not be listed by some sources, just as in the pic you posted. It shows that part "grayed out" and w/o a part number, because they don't sell it. Generally they are only replaced after damage from a crash or from rocks when off-roading.
Getting one shouldn't be a huge deal, just a little harder than the ends. NAPA? I find it hard to believe that an alignment shop is stumped by this though? |

Re: Emergency Help Needed!
just an update, I replace the part with one off a '76 blazer. Looked different but bolted right into place. I'm back rolling again. Thanks everyone for the info.
