Longhorn Man Reunion Tour 08

Id like to thank everyone that showed up today. Was great to meet new people and was great to see my old buds.

Weather was crappy and we had a bunch of no shows...too bad for them because we had a good time with good friends and good food.

Ill post a few more pictures later and let others add if they want too.

One of the board members had to leave before this shot. There were other people there that werent board members so we didnt include them...LOL.

Our salute to Longhorn Man...Maybe next year buddy?

Yeah cardboard Andy was with Mike (stllookn) and unfortunately he had to beat feet before the pic was taken. He did manage to get a bunch of time in pounding on Brads truck though =) (Mike not cardboard Andy)

Sorry I missed it, just didn't work out today. I was really interested to see how the roller job went on.

Oh and CG I saw a buggy in Monroe the other day, and wished I had a camera. It's on Dikenson Ave and for sale if you're interested .

Re: Longhorn Man Reunion Tour 08

Drew kicked up a lot of dust stripping down the side of the box. Uncovered some interesting body work too.

Eric welding up some cracks. He also welded up the patch panels and a bunch of extra mirror mounting holes.

Thats Drews son Zach (geeze I hope I remembered that right lol) trying to stay awake behind Eric. I think he was kinda bored (and probably a little shy) about the whole ordeal, but he didnt complain or give his pop any crap. When my kids were that age I woulda been hearing...how much longer? when do we get to go?

Im so glad they are past that. Speaking of my kids...Eric came up to me...Hey Mark there is some guy out there that drove in from the back way and is walking around checking out all our stuff. He's wearing a bandanna and has a bunch of tattoo's. Oh...thats my younger son Tyler. The tats, well thats something he's going to have to live with, but the bandanna is a new thing. When he comes buy we give him such a hard time and laugh at him he takes it off...He really is a nice looking kid...you sure cant tell it with the dorky bandanna though.

Thats him talking with my brother Chris...With the look on their faces I wonder what they were talking about?

See...nice looking kid with long sleeves and no scarf..lol...he doesnt like us to call it that.

Re: Longhorn Man Reunion Tour 08

oldspowered, all you have to do is post a time and place. There is a meets board divided into states and regions. If you read thru it many areas have meets.Tn probably has the most.I think NC may come second then the PNW.Read the meets board find a place and put one together.Once you go to one you will "TRAVEL!" to get to more.I know I go to about 3-5 a year but would do mmany more if time and $$ permitted.

Man I wish I had known you all about 8 years ago when I was in the Navy, I was stationed on Whidbey Island playing with my 70 Chevy long bed 4x4, and my 71 long bed 2WD "the smurf"

Looks like you all are having a blast.

Too bad no cardboard andy, that would have been hilarous!
