Uhhh!!! Stupid tow hooks
Can anybody tell me if the tow hooks off a 67 chevy fit the fram of a 72 chevy? Both are 4x4 obviously, but I cannot seem to get holes to line up on the 72 frame with the 67 hooks. This is driving me nuts.

Re: Uhhh!!! Stupid tow hooks
463 thanks for the link, I knew it was here somewhere, but couldn't find it. That helps out a lot, now I know I need to do some modifying.
LUV2XCLR8 To mount them backwards I need to notch the bumper a little it, which I might do, just rying to decide if I wobble out a hole a little or notch the bumper.

Re: Uhhh!!! Stupid tow hooks
Notch the bumper if you plan on using the hooks as tow hooks. You don`t want a sloppy hole.

Re: Uhhh!!! Stupid tow hooks
I found this pic on the board... notice that the 60-68 hooks mount backwards from the newer 68-72 hooks.

Re: Uhhh!!! Stupid tow hooks
Please Help. I want to buy a set of these hooks for my 1972 4x4. But I cant beleive the price for them. Is there a after market dealer or a good substite available. I see sets on e-bay for around 200.00. But that is a hard price for me to pay. Sooooo many other items needed for project. Thanks

Re: Uhhh!!! Stupid tow hooks
I saw these hooks off of a Toyota Tacoma 4x4 I wonder if any of you guys could make these work for your needs.

Quote:
shipped price you had better jump on it. The 69-72's are in that range or a lil higher, and the 72 only (Extreme Bend) are going to be about $400 +++
