Super nice! Odds are the owner will have to seek another venue if he's serious about a sale. Sounds like a really well built truck.

That is a very clean truck. I think those wheels give it a nice straight forward look.

Re: Holy crap look at this truck !!!!!!!!!

Great looking truck! Bets it's fun with that V-max!

But where in the heck did he get a Vmax with THREE miles on it??? I guess it's possible, but the truck would have had to have been wrecked as soon as it was driven off the lot!

Ok thanks...I would be afraid of putting that truck on the road. One deer and instant modification.

Smile Re: Holy crap look at this truck !!!!!!!!!

Thanks for the compliments on the truck.

Although this truck would only be half as nice if it wasn't for the help and suggestions from key players on this board.

I would like to clear up one thing, it is not a vortec max it is a regular 6.0L LQ4. I just liked the shroud (cover) so I used it.

Finding an engine and tranny with that little miles isn't that tough, just call up Schram Auto Parts, they usually have quite a few motor/tranny combinations listed on eBay.

I wasn't sure where to price it, but based on what I have into it I thought it was a good place to start. Any thoughts on this?

I guess when I really get serious about selling it I will advertise in a few other publications.

The reason why I am selling it is because I just don't drive it that much. When we do take it out I hate to just leave it without someone watching it, I would hate to see something hapen to it.

Right now I have a little under 1800 miles on it and it has been together for almost a year.

If you have any questions please let me know.

Thank you,

Bob

Re: Holy crap look at this truck !!!!!!!!!

you got a very nice truck! the v/max and the LQ4 are exactly the same other than the vmax has flat top pistons and the LQ4 has dish pistons, you wont noticed the difference unless you look at the piston, the vmax is 10:1CR and the LQ4 is 9.5:1CR, all you have to do to get the same CR is mill the heads alittle with is only like $70 to do...

anyhow nice truck! and the 4l80e is a stout transmission

Bob, great looking truck man, I bet it really runs nice with the 6 liter and 4L80.

I can relate on the leaving your very nice truck out in public. I use mine for errands occasionally but park it way out in the parking lot. Course I still worry about anything happening to it when it is not safe in my garage. I have put 1,800 miles on mine in the last year also.

Very nice truck. I especially like the wheels. Nice and simple. what wheels are those and do you by any chance know the backspacing/offset?

Re: Holy crap look at this truck !!!!!!!!!

The wheels were made by Bonspeed - 20x8 not sure of the back spacing. They came off of a late model Tahoe and I am runn a 1.5" billet adapter in the rear.

Hope that helps and thanks for the compliments.....

Re: Holy crap look at this truck !!!!!!!!!

I bought one from Schram as well with 5 miles on it (they salvage vehicles for the oe's from train wrecks, etc) so they get damaged vehicles that are new, just totalled through insurance, etc. Sweet truck man, the price is right since you couldn't build one for that. I'd just insure the wee out of it (appraisal, etc, etc) then drive it, it is after all just a truck. I own a 70 RS/SS Camaro and I drove it all the time, and once I finish up some things I'll start driving it again, they are just vehicles, enjoy em! I hope I don't offend anyone, but honestly drive it, they aren't investments or trophies, get behind the wheel and enjoy it!!

Re: Holy crap look at this truck !!!!!!!!!

nice but looks like the front clip was repainted, the doors fenders and hood are darker than the cab. that would be a hard color to blend or match.
