Blue Blazer Conspiracy:Line Mtn 7-miler

Back on 3/1 a special task force was assembled comprising of Olblue60,Duallyjams,and Special-K.Their mission was to investigate, over the Mason-Dixon line, talk of a Blue Blazer Conspiracy and found it to be quite real and bigger than expected.
On 9/20 this group went on a mission to look into reports of off road racing through the woods on a mountain in Pennsylvania involving two members of this Blue Blazer Conspiracy. It seems these two persons, known as Oldghev4x4 and GTO Mechanic, were to be engaging in this 38 year old tradition of running 4 laps through a course of trails created to make it difficult to complete, yet it is a timed,1 minute interval, competition releasing some 120 vehicles off into the woods.Oldchev4x4 is the owner/driver/mechanic of one blue`70 Blazer and GTO Mechanic is the co-pilot/mechanic/passing horn blower. Both love to eat dust and dirt, but are better at feeding it.They have cans of dust-flush they drink around a campfire and seem to enjoy this beverage quite a bit.The investigation team found that be simply observing this ritual. It was necessary for them to also use this dust-flush and they found this to be not such a bad remedy as well. The knucklehead photographer,Special-K,left his camera in his truck the day before which made photographic evidence impossible. It may be possible there were others that may have such evidence on record and will see this report.Possibly,we will have these visual aids, yet.

Is that a Yuengling ad I see on the front fender where the side marker goes?
I grabbed a video clip on my camera phone.I have no idea how to get it off there, though.(some guy had to show me how to video)
I`ve seen alot of different off road racing and this was something new.Simular in many ways to some, yet unique.I knew what it was all about but it takes being there to really know.Anyone who can should try to make one of these races next year. You can camp there Friday-Sunday.There`s a concession stand flippin`burgers and such, towns not too far,and in a beautiful wooded mountain valley...nothing but trees, not a house in sight.I`d thing a group gathering would make for a great time. It`s not like a new idea. These guys have a group of friends that have been on to this good time for a while.

Actually these pics are from the spring race. The Sept. race pics are not in yet. Notice the rose bushes?
There is another 1972 racer there. Its a red 3/4 ton truck that has been shortened. Its wheel base is shorter than my Blazer and he has to run in the V8 Jeep class. He broke down and i had to go out and rescue him on Sunday.

LOL...Andy, Don't worry, this is a totally different blazer. It just happens to be the same color blue. I like to paint my trucks the factory colors that they came with.
Jeff has a blue Blazer too.
And a guy that races short obstacle in a 72 blue Blazer was there too.

Re: Blue Blazer Conspiracy:Line Mtn 7-miler

The plans to go north across the mason dixon line were secretly laid the night before. Dullay jams showed up at 5 am under the cover of darkness. It was a long trip. The only stops made were for food and our favorite beverage. (strictly used to clear debris as previously described). This Blue Blazer Conspiracy happend on the side of a mountain, far far across the line. It turned out to be a beautiful area of close mountain ranges, without being able to see another sign of anything man made, as far as one could see. After a little looking..... there it was..... "THE BLUE BLAZER CAMP". We found it really easy to infiltrate the camp. You see.... When we stopped, we also purchased some of what we found on our first trip, a favorite northern beverage. We simply showed up with one of these in our hands. I believe these are used up north as security badges.
Anyway we were in. After Special K and Duallyjams inserted one of these cans / security passes into a broken out marker lights on the Blue Blazer, we were in! Its hard to explain, but after trudging around in the woods all day, getting covered in dirt and mud we went back to the camp and began the debreving with that special fluid that Special K mentioned. It turned out to be a great time for all. Camping and child events were also planned. I believe that this strange ritual will need further investigation next year, and we would welcome any new investigators. Another possible conspiracy that was uncovered.....
GTO Mechanic goes nowhere without a cooler of bratwerst.(Could this too be another conspiracy uncovered?????)

Re: Blue Blazer Conspiracy:Line Mtn 7-miler

It looked like this when we started. Junk 10 bolt axles from a 85 Blazer tied in with rope. No drive train. 1/2 a body lift. 4" springs in the front. Stock springs in the back. A severley hacked up body. Thats why we made it into a racer. There was no turning back on this one.

I found the "dead solders" in the tire (inside joke). But you mistakenly left some live ones in my six pack cooler.
I'll probley find some more somewhere in a couple weeks.

Cool!!I didn`t know there were shifts in this race.Must be up on Rt 80.
I just want to say,the only dead soldier I was involved with was the optional side marker. As you may recall I specifically requested a "Vector" depository and was advised such an item was not available.Hence, mine ended up ...hmmm....can`t say I recall. But,it was proper I assure you.
Are you sure that wasn`t some sort of run-flat mechanism?

Wow,Mountains, special beverages, pork products, racing blue Blazers it sounds kinda like utopia?
It was great to see you guys so far north of the mason-dixon line. You definately should join our camp again next season,But we can only let you visit and observe for three races. After that you have to build one ,and join in on the real fun.

Re: Blue Blazer Conspiracy:Line Mtn 7-miler

That dust flush sure does the job. But,I was very impressed with the use of bratwurst as a sort of dust plug.It seems as long as one inserts these into ones mouth the entry of dust is not possible.I know all this may sound a bit unsavory, having to plug and flush dust from the frontal orifice, but I must say these remedies are actually quite pleasurable during implementation.
I`m working on plans, already,to build a racer based around two LazyBoys.Meanwhile,I tink I breeng dee burrow next time so I see more of dee race.
