Lowering my truck

I am thinking of buying some new springs and shocks for my 67' c10. I would probably just lower it 2" front 4" rear at first and was wondering the best/cheapest place to get these. Also if any one had any pictures of their trucks lowered like this.

Follow this link to the ECE website. Here you can view several different combinations of drop setups. Seems like quite a few folks here recommend their parts also.

Re: Lowering my truck

We just did a 2/4 drop on my son's '67. We used ECE springs, shocks, and adjustable panard bar. It all fit great and the truck rides great. I'll try to post a picture if he ever brings it buy the house.

Re: Lowering my truck

Early Classic's in Fresno, CA. has a nice 2/4 drop kit put together, comes with F&R coils and 4 shocks and if you make it a Premium 2/4 drop kit it will also add the rear shock relocation kit and an adjustable panhard bar. Their number is (559)291-1611, ask for Mark.

Re: Lowering my truck

On a 2/4 drop, you shouldn't need an adjustable panhard bar - my stock bar worked just fine.

Well... looks like 3 other members already beat me to it. ECE offers some great parts, and I will be running their 4/6 kit in the future on my '72.

Re: Lowering my truck

Im going to be using ECE on my 67 as well 2/4 drop. strictly based on this sites members recommendations. I was looking for the cheapest way to go at first also but, like they say you go cheap, you get cheap, I almost bought some other rear springs at first. . lets just say DO YOUR RESARCH!! Especially if you plan on ever putting any weight in the bed from time to time.

Re: Lowering my truck

If you want springs built to your trucks specs buy from us, we have all our drop springs custom made at the time they are ordered based on wheelbase length, motor size, transmission, A/C or Non-A/C and bed style because they all affect the weight of the truck. So the guy with a inline 6cyl., 3spd trans., short wheelbase non-a/c fleetside gets springs custom wound & tempered rated for the weight of his truck, and the guy with a big block, 400 auto trans., long wheelbase, A/C, with stepside bed gets custom wound & tempered with a heavier rated spring because the truck weighs nearly 900lbs more. If you want off the shelf drop springs where everyone gets the same springs not based on your trucks weight then buy from ECE, Brothers, CPP, etc..... Believe me it DOES MAKE A DIFFERENCE IN RIDE QUALITY& HAULING ABILITY!!!
You'll find our springs on sale here for $95.00 a set
http://www.gmcpauls.com/SALE_SPECIALS.htm
if you would like to buy a kit you'll find them listed here
