hydraulic hose for airline

has anyone used hydrauli hose for airlines before. i know it is pricey but you would never have to touch it again. just wondering if anyone has run into problems using it. i think jic fiittings would be the way to go. just tired of copper leaking all the time at the push locks. thanks again.

push lock fittings aren't designed for copper ... that may be why you're having problems with the leaks

you need compression fittings for copper lines... as for the hydraulic hose it would work but the size is bigger than airline or copper tubing and might make routing harder....

I used air brake hoses(like for a semi) for leaders on my front bags. A 1/2"ID hose takes up a lot fo space. I couldn't imagine trying to find a place to route it through the whole system.

I'm running 3/8" hydraulic hose for my system and I love it, no leaks at all!. The hose I'm using routed fine except at the top of the front bags, but that was my fault (welded upper plates in instead of bolting). Anyways, it's not that hard to route and it gives me comfort knowing that the hose can take a little heat (not a ton but more than plastic) if my exhaust is close to it (about 2 inches at the nearest point).

I also used 3/8" viair leader hoses to connect my air tank to the valves as it has a built in check valve and are braided stainless. I'll toss us some pics in a little while (I don't always have internet in the barracks).

Yes Hydro hose is just fine if u wanna spend the $. Done it on multiple cars. Also used Braided SS line throughout on a few builds, very pricey same result. Yes PTC not really meant for copper, although if done properly it will work.
