drum to disc
I have a 64 with front drums. I just purchased the entire cross member from a 71 with disc and sway bar. i thought i just needed to transfer over the spindles with new 71 ball joints to the 64 control arms to make the disc brake conversion. Is this right or should I be swapping other parts as well. If you have done this can I email you? THANKS streetrod@mts.net. I am clear on all the brake details, just not the suspension

I have done that swap on a 69. You will need to replace the lower a arms (due to steering stop differences),or modify the stops on the spindles to use the 64 arms. You need to replace theballjoints, tie rods assys(inners, outers & sleeves),centerlink,& the pitman arm(powersteering box hasa different pitman). Depending on how far the truck is dismantled, it may be just as easy to replace the complete crossmember assy ,as you already have it. Good luck......crazy AL
