Shaved Firewall help
I’m in the process of filling some holes in my firewall. I’m deleting the factory heater and will install an under dash hot rod heater. I want a cleaner look for the firewall. I checked the shaved firewall threads and couldn’t find any identifying all the holes. Could someone please id the holes circled. I assume the one to the left of the steering column would be for the clutch. I will be needing that as this will be a standard. I filled the hole for the fusebox as I will be using an aftermarket harness. This is a 68 cab and I will be using the throttle set up from a 71. What holes could I fill?
It would be great to see different ideas and pictures of routing wiring and plumbing to make things more appealing. Thanks in advance. |

Re: Shaved Firewall help
I've seen that pic before and it answers bullwinkle's question great...but all you guys and gals with shaved firewalls, send us some pics of where you routed everything to keep that ultra clean look. I'd love to see this info too.

Re: Shaved Firewall help
Unfortunate for me, I've sent that pic to many people (Think I got it from Ohio Dan) But I have yet to do any work on my own firewall. Isn't that always the case...LOL. When I get mine done, I will post pics. Thanks

Re: Shaved Firewall help
Here are some of the picts of mine which I am almost done with,,,,We shaved everything except the hole for the steering column, the hole for the throttle cable, brake master cylinder & the fuse box every other hole is no longer in existence. I ran the a/c lines all the way at the end of the firewall on the right side and with the inner fender on you cant see them. The speedo cable is going thru the floor, emergency cable are also going thru the floor. My assistant wants it all CLEAN nothing goes on the firewall. I am going to add some more picts of how we did it maybe it will help you.....

Re: Shaved Firewall help
Thanks Harry I got your message the other day I tried calling you back but did not get you.. Give me a call whenever you want, you have to come by my shoop and see the progress the truck is at 75% complete just trying to buckle it up. Here are some picts of how we ran the hoses and what the four holes we left...
