WTB parts for my 4x4 conversion project
I'm about to begin work on my latest project to put a 72 GMC 3/4 ton 4x4 chassis under mt 69 3/4 ton 2wd. My doner truck and chassis needs some parts and I also need some parts to make a complete truck out of the leftovers. I can do paypal.MO,certified check just let me know your preference. Thanks in advance,heres the list;
Auto trans shifter linkage from column to trans with frame bracket Clutch hole cover Stock rear springs(you guys who lifted your truck are tripping over these!) Upper center dash section(to patch hole dumb PO cut for speaker thru speaker grill, entire top dash would be OK) Small block frame brackets(for the 2wd,big block going in 4x4) Fleetside bed tailgate straps Heres the "I'm dreaming" list(hey,ya never know you guys have a lot of stuff thats pretty rare!!!!) Set of decent cab light lenses 3/4 ton hubs(original style) TH400 to NP 205 adapter(early figure eight bolt pattern) NP 205 input gear for TH400 Probably will add to this list as the project progresses. Any referals to parts sources will be greatly appreciated. Thanks again for any help

Re: WTB parts for my 4x4 conversion project
The lenses are not the hockey puck style, but the little more aerodynamic looking ones. I can get a pic if needed.

Re: WTB parts for my 4x4 conversion project
Heres a pic of the cab light lense that I need. Also while you are all looking around in your parts piles(and I know you all have one...or two....or three...)I could use a locker or limited slip carrier for a Dana 60 with 4.56 gears. Another alternative would be 4.10 gears and carrier for the Dana 60 and a set of 410 gears for the Dana 44.

Re: WTB parts for my 4x4 conversion project
I've got a complete dash if you're interested. I can cut it up but it'd likely be easier to replace the whole thing. Pics and info are here:
http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=306295 It's long enough that it has to go oversize. Figure 20# and 66x18x18 from 56001 if you want to calculate shipping. Let me know if you're interested. Brent

Re: WTB parts for my 4x4 conversion project
Here is a picture of the cab lights that I have which are like the picture you posted. Three of the lenses are really nice, two are cracked but useable. Two of the bases are missing the sockets.
I may have located two more lenses at a friends house if you need them. Package price including everything shown in the picture is $15 including shipping. I will still send you the cover if you decide you don't want the cab lights as we have already talked about. Can you do a MO? I don't have Paypal. Jim PS: PM sent.

Re: WTB parts for my 4x4 conversion project
I have front and rear 3/4 ton 4x4 leaves from a 67 chevy. I can take pics, they are surface rusted from plow use. They are heavy so shipping may be high.

Re: WTB parts for my 4x4 conversion project
I don't know on the difference, but perhaps there is, as the 67 had some weird stuff. Mine was on an Eaton but if you get me overal length eye to eye and pin position (or I can do the same) plus width we can compare. Oh, make sure the width at the hanger and at the pin are or aren't the same.

Re: WTB parts for my 4x4 conversion project
67Mater,I will have to get you some dimensions tomorrow and I will have to guestimate the legnth as my springs are off a later model and too long.(stupid POs,I don't even know how he got them installed). Might be able to get dimensions off of the wifes 72 3/4 ton Suburban 4x4,might be the same.

Re: WTB parts for my 4x4 conversion project
Check with LIVRAT over here in Seattle. He's converted many Blazer's to 2wd and has a ton of the 4wd stuff left over. One road and you could probably have all you need.

Got the spring dimensions tonight. Springs are 2.5 in wide, frame hole to frame hole is 52 in,front frame hole to pin is 26 in. Checked wifes 72 3/4 ton 4x4 Suburban and all dimensions are the same. Suburban has 5 leaves. If more info is needed please let me know.

Re: WTB parts for my 4x4 conversion project
ok, I'll make sure mine are the same. I know, however, that my front leaves were only 3 I believe. not sure why your suburban has 5.
