My name is BAD4X4 and I'm addict.

Bought another one from Idaho this weekend. I can't figure out which one to keep. Here are some pics of both. Orange one is the 1972 cst no rust, auto. The orcher one is 1971 cst 4-speed, very little rust. Any ideas guys?

If the ochre one came with the beer I think you know which one to keep.

They are both great blazers. Does the orange have AC?

Re: My name is BAD4X4 and I'm addict.

No idea if you run the trails or not but I'd keep the ochre one as a driver and flop the orange one over to trail duty, due to the already existing dents & scrapes.

Doesn't everybody have at least two blazers?

Re: My name is BAD4X4 and I'm addict.

I"m more partial to Orange and the auto, but the dented rear quarter is a lot of work to repair, which leans me more toward the ocher truck. I'd take the best parts out of each and build one.

Which one is a better driver? Does your wife ever drive them and can she drive the stick? Where's the widened rally's with the 35's so we can judge what they are really going to look like?

Re: My name is BAD4X4 and I'm addict.

I got a fender and a door skin for the orange one. We can take the dent out of that quarter, no problem.

Re: My name is BAD4X4 and I'm addict.

The orange one hasn't ran for 12 years till I got her barley to run about a month ago. The ochre one hasn't ran for 4 years. But did a quick tune up on her sunday. Now she's running great. Next for the ochre one is pull the headers and crappy exhaust off, and put manifolds on with flowmasters and 3" tailpipes. The wife can drive ANYTHING I throw her the keys to,except my 2007 Kenworth. Red are you offering your services for like BEEEEEEEEERRRRRRRRRR!!!!!!!???

I think I agree with VT, build orange one for off roading and ochre one for cruising.

Re: My name is BAD4X4 and I'm addict.

I'd keep the orange one if you can redo the rear quarter. Rust free is a huge plus (no hidden issues) and the automatic is more marketable if you have to sell it in the future.

Sounds like ya got a good wife. My wife has driven my blazer once and I was in the passenger seat. I think that was enough for both of us. She can drive it in an emergency, but she wouldn't want to drive it any other time.

"...pull the headers and crappy exhaust off..."

I guess I'm not the only one who doesn't like headers that much (rust, gaskets blowing out, bolts loosening)? Manifolds, cheesy, blownout glasspacks, and pipes all the way back, perfect.

I vote for keeping the mustard one, or both...
