Update-1973 Cheyenne Super - The 1947 - Present Chevrolet & GMC Truck Message Board Network

It's been very slow going, but it's come a long way. Little by little, I've been working on the '73. I got it running a couple of weeks ago. The engine sounds strong. At first it would not go into gear. I added some trans fluid and it works and shifts fine now.

Put on some 17" Centerlines. My brother-in-law did some bodywork to the bed and primed it red. I may do the whole truck in red primer... not sure yet. I still like the flat black, it's a toss up. Anyhow, here are some updated pics... Enjoy...

I like that truck. sure has come a long way since you picked it up. eather color would look good i think.

Thanks for the compliments, guys. My long term plans for the truck are to paint green and white, kind of like original but with a 'prettier' green and put on all the body trim that has been removed. Maybe even put in a 454 in like it originally came with, but that's a big maybe. For now, I want to get the body a little straighter and go with a flat black or the red primer, fix up the interior (clean it, carpet it, paint the dash and doors, and re-upholster the seat, re-install the new stuff) and start cruising it. I want to make this my daily driver and save the miles on my new truck since I still have a few years to pay it off.
