Re: Lets see your projects!!

IT might not look like it but my 84 is an ongoing project. Al tho I have been tempted lately to trade it for a 1 ton 4x4..... I also have an ongoing willys wagon rebuild. True it is not a chevy but it has a 350 and eats money and time just like a chevy truck.

Re: Lets see your projects!!

well
I have a couple going
found this one cheap son of original owner finally let it go
lived all but the last 5of it's years in New Jersey. very good shape
350/350 very straight and solid except two VERY rust rockers
I'm putting new ones in
This one had no motor and I am swapping in a tbi 350 from a suburban
just taking a while to get it running then I'll probably have to strip it
It has 3 coats of paint and zero rust

keeps me broke and out of trouble
Mark

Re: Lets see your projects!!

You want projects? I got projects...

Not housing, fuel, electricity, or RC related... only automotive.

65 GTO rolling chassis, plenty of rust was included in the sale.

70 GTO, was a daily driver for 12 years, now its waiting its turn in the shop for a ground up rebuild. Currently its my ethanol mule.

72 Formula 455 HO. Rather rare car, its 1 of 276 and has some interesting options. Going in the shop after the GTOs

79 Formula. My toy, it has a 467 ci 700hp Pontiac in it, its breaking everything behind the flexplate. Needs updated for the lower ETs.

71 Formula 400. Needs everything, gonna get to it when I get a chance

67 Cougar. Ground up rebuild. My first car, started the pant and body work in 1986, doing final assembly on it now. It went from this:

To this in just two years! With a bunch of other stuff done on other things in between.

71 Pit of Despair Mustang sports roof. Its the thorn in my side that challenges my welding skill, and helps me find rust in places I never dreamed existed.

The 76.

the only work I dont do on my vehicles is machine work on the engines. The rest is done by yours truly. Yeah I am proud of that fact...

My recently purchased 65 Chevelle. It has 2 too many doors but I love driving the 100% original car.

Re: Lets see your projects!!

Ooo, me too.

My 69 Chevelle, that I really need to do something with. 350/TH350, flowmasters, and a whole lot of rust. It runs good, but I broke a brake hard line a couple years ago and it's been awaiting a disc brake conversion ever since.

More pics

My 78 Chevy 2wd short step. Also a 350/TH350 with a newer model engine. This was my commuter until a few months ago when 15 MPG and near-$4 gas caught up to me. It's got sport mirrors on it now, but it's pretty much the same other than that.

More pics

I also inherited a Honda Civic that gets 40 MPG, but I wouldn't call that a project since I don't really plan to do anything to it.

Good thread
