decode frame vin number

number by the steering gear box is 9ba20712
number under cab on the frame is 0t101296 (maybe the zero is an o or something)

any help would be greatly appreciated. thanks

it's the last 5 digits of the VIn number aboive the steering box that match up the the last 5 digits on the VIN number of the truck cab thingy. Don't know about there other though, i also woundered about that too.

Neither of the numbers you posted look correct to me. The numbers should be the same. The number under cab is on top of the frame rail... not the number on side of frame rail. It should be the same as the number on top of frame rail near steering box. What's the last 5 on the vin if you know that... all should be the same.

unfortunately the cab that is on there is a 69 2wd 3/4 ton, the frame is a 4x4, so the vins wouldnt match anyway, so it just confuses things, any way, that number is on top of the frame rail, and the other one is right by the steering gear box on tope of the frame also, dont know what the deal is, it ias a GMC though, does that make a difference? any way, thanks
