new to the group ...
hey all, name's allie ... born and raised in montana, living in kansas ...
current chevies are as follows ... 1978 scottsdale shortbed with a rebuilt 350 tied to a 4speed ... 4x4 ... and my most recent addition as a birthday present was a 1968 C10 stepside long bed ... as far as i know, right now it's the inline 6, 250 ... i'll pull numbers on it coming next weekend to find out for sure ... its got the saginaw 3 speed column shift poorly converted to floor shift ... so, it'll take a little work ... engine was rebuilt ... tranny needs a little help ... but, it'll b e a good project ... ![]() ![]() |

Re: new to the group ...
thanks for the welcome, everyone!!! i always said growing up, that i'd give up any appendage for a sexy 60's stepside, so long as i could still drive it, even with hand controls ... lol ... and then an offer came up i couldn't refuse, and i didn't have to give up anything but a couple of scrap demo derby cars for crushing to get 'er ...
i always like the shorty fleetsides, but the longbed stepsides ... |

Yeah, you loser face, glad to see you finally made it over here, took you long enough! Sheesh!
And yes, this message board is for truck heads like giving crack to a crack addict. Only it is wayyyyy cooler. (although either addiction will leave you broke)

Re: new to the group ...
lmc has some amazing stuff ... there's also an all-chevies parts yard right into iowa ... i don't recall the name, but i'll check into it ... i'll be making enough trips up the montana way it wouldn't be too hard to meet up with a truck full of parts for ya' ... let me check on that ...
and yes, i DID finally make it!!! i kinda had to get me a worthy chevy, again ... but now i got TWO!!! haha ...
