Best place to get Ralleys

Where is the best place you guys have found to get rally wheels? I have a '71 GMC and I am planning on getting some new tires before winter and I was thinking of getting a new set of wheels for it. I wouldn't mind getting some 15x10 ralleys with the '67 or so lug nut covered caps w/o rings. Anyone have any pics of this set up? I remember a pretty much all origial step side short box that had a setup like this.

www.WheelVintiques.com

www.stocktonwheel.com

www.summitracing.com

Just a couple I know of.

Factory truck ralleys were only 8" wide though, and I believe that was the max width for the factory vette ralleys also..

Re: Best place to get Ralleys

If it's my stock-looking stepside you're talking about, I do have the narrow trim rings on, because I couldn't find any wide / deep rings at the time that weren't all dinged-up or curb-rashed. They're 8-inch wide ralleys, as stated above. Stock on the "dressier" Chev & GMC pickups about during the early 80's. Vans had the narrower-width ralley wheels & that's where the narrower trim rings come from, too. Much easier to find those than the wide ones around here.

My wheels came from a local salvage yard, & I picked up the center caps there too, & got the rings at tire stores & various places til I had a five-piece set assembled. Even got a few extra pieces, since all the trim rings didn't exactly match, but they're real-close.

WallyWorld rattle can silver after the wheels got a good wire brushing, de-greasing, & cleaning. Too shiny silver at first, but now has aged to about the right shade of metallic silver gray. Couldn't find any of the proper color in a spray can locally, which I think is called Argent silver ???

http://www.rallyamerica.com/hotrod_trucks/index.html

hands down, the best place to buy truck rallyes. great service, fast shipping even with wheels they have to weld up!

the rims ship in days instead of weeks like with Wheel Vintiques or Stockton.

The truck I was thinking of was a medium or light green and had corvette style rallies that were 15x10 if I rember right.

15 x 8's all the way around. 275/60/15 Firestone Firehawk Indy 500's. Like Shane said, keep your eye on the for sale board 'cause that's were I sold them!!! Now they reside in the great state on Mississippi........
