oil pressure gauge fittings
Does anyone have a picture or could someone tell me what series of fittings are used to connect the pressure line to the factory mechanical oil pressure gauge on a '66?
I posted this over on chevytalk also, I'm trying to get my truck running after a year of sitting & I need to get this buttoned up. |

Re: oil pressure gauge fittings
I believe that they are 3/16ths compression fittings. You will need to covert to pipe thread at the block end......not sure about what pipe size. You can find this stuff at any hardware store, along w/ the line if you need it.

Re: oil pressure gauge fittings
I may think that its 1/8th compression instead. Here are some fittings that came with a Moon set of gauges. You can get replacement kits at a performance store for Auto meter gauges also.
The bottom row is what I usually find on the block; pipe to compression adapter...then the ferrule and compression fitting. The top row is the same but w/ a female fitting for the gauge end
