K5 header exhaust ???
How does the exhaust get routed from headers when mounted on a Blazer/Jimmy 4x4? My Jim (307-auto-4x4) has nothing beyond the collectors and they exit about 12" in front of the 4x4 crossmember. The drivers side has ample room to run a pipe between the body and the crossmember but the drivers side appears too tight. Any help or pictures would be greatly appreciated. Huck

We run 2 1/4" pipes through the "vee" formed by the cross member and transfer case on the passenger side. The higher you go toward the body the more room you have. It would be tight, but I am pretty sure that you could clear a 2 1/2" pipe through the area.

I have a 2 1/2" pipe going through there, but I don't think that was the question he was asking. I have manifolds, not headers.

I just had a new exhaust put on. There is plenty of room for a 2 1/2 inch pipe. let me go check my tuck and I'll get back to you hopefully I can get a picture too.

a competent custom exhaust shop will have no problem getting the pipe where it needs to go in 12" Heck, I personally could probably get it up and around the crossmember with half that space. Just need to find a good, competent exhaust shop that bends its' own pipe.
