I'm looking for about 1"-2" of lift for my 4X4 and a friend of mine said instead of getting a lift kit just get my springs re-arched. Has anyone done this and does it work? Also, how would my ride compare?

But sometimes the arch comes out on one or the other from what I've heard. Not 100% sure tho. The place may give a warrenty on this too. Wouldnt hurt to ask.

I saw these and they look like a slick way to bump the height a touch with no change to your ride.... check the rest of this site out too. pretty cool 4x4 toys.......

I had the springs on my s-10 re-arched about four years ago and have had no probs with sag or balance. I also had my 2500 leafs DE-arched for a drop and they came out level. It's cheap but can be some work removing and re-installing, but you can get the bushings redone at the same time.

Like MUDDER 67 said they quite often sag even after a short period of time because of different factors like spring pack design , condition and ECT . and this will happen more on heavy pick up trucks . If you are going to keep the truck may be it would be better to put that money toward new springs . , but if you are tight for money you can do your own re-arch with a torch but probably the easiest way for a 1 1/2 to 2" lift is to put an " Add a leaf kit " on the front and a small lift block on the back , this might cost $100. for the kits and give you up to 2" with little change in ride .
