no more
no more in cab gas tank..... actually i had my fuel cell in my bed for about a year now but just now got the courage up to weld some metal in and take the tank out.
first time welding and body work. the pics looks like its got a dent or something right above where the filler use to be but its smooth just a glare from the flash.

Well done "Stroker"! I'd be interested in seeing the fuel cell you're running. I want to ditch the stock in-cab tank but can't decide which method to use. Blazer tanks are cheap-ish, but hang down a bit too much for my liking. Poly cells are also inexpensive, but plastic.......I dunno. Then there's the aluminum and stainless tanks- da' bomb fershizzle, but hella pricey too! Can you tell I'm severely undecided.

thanks i was really nervous...i think it turned out good tho..

That looks good, did you just take a piece of sheet metal and bang it to fit the rough shape of the hole and bondo it up??

no i took a 5x 5 inch piece of sheet metal and held it up and took a sharpy marker and traced from the back side. then i cut and grinded the piece of metal the the hole shape with the little notch on the bottom, then i tacked it in in one spot and shaped it with the cab as i went. theres really less then 1/8 inch of mudd at the deepest place on it.
