New guy from Lemoore Ca
Hey everybody , my name is Keith and I live in Ca. Originally from Fl, have been in the Navy for 15 years now. I found this site about 3 mos ago and have spent a bunch of time reading almost all of the posts in 73-87. I recently bought a 77 Short Bed, 350. Started working on it but my buddy gave me some new ideas so back to square one LOL.
Plans so far are to Swap an 89 Burb front end, completely redo the interior, paint and some engine work. Hope to get lucky tomm at the pick a part 50% off sale and get a serpentine setup. Also in the picture is my roommates 85 4wd, an 84 2wd (engine for the 85) and we just got rid of the 87 Burb in the garage. |

Re: New guy from Lemoore Ca
Thanks all! This place really has become a second home. I have spent a ton of time just reading and researching on here for projects for me and my friends. Between 4 of us there is my 77, my roomates 84 2wd & 85 4wd, 76 2wd and an 84 K-5 Blazer. An 86 Burb and 87 Burb were also around recently. I am generally the wiring guy. I am an electronics tech in the Navy so when there is a wiring issue or something that needs to trouble shot or wired up, it's mine lol.

Which squadron, Keith? I was at Pt Mugu when it was still NAWS in Weapons Test Squadron (sister sq in Lemoore or Fallon - can't remember). We had Tomcats (RIP).

That was VFA-102 in Japan. The former Tomcat squadron VF-102. My first squadron was VF-84 Jolly Rogers!!!! Good ole F-14A's. Right now I am an instructor but am heading back to sea duty in a few months.
