Re: Found on CL in South Georgia

well i got with this guy and not thinking this is a good deal. he is working on a 66 shortwide (i also have one) so i said i have parts we could swap to lower the price on the 64. well he wants the hood and a drivers door and 500 bucks. well the hood i was going to trade has zero rot and a new parking lamp harness and please tell me if im all wet thinking that the hood by its self is worth at least 150 or more???? might call him back and try and make a better deal was just wondering what the hood is worth?? the door has lower rust but he wanted that for the regulater. forgot to add he is keeping the motor and trans for his 66.......

Re: Found on CL in South Georgia

For us on the east coast a good rust free hood is worth around 300 IMHO or more. He didn't say that the engine and trans wasn't going with the truck in his ad.

There was a few other trucks that popped up on Atlanta CL yesterday.

I'm glad to see that ya'll have got things worked out.

It's a small world.....I have a 283 listed on CL that came out of my truck. I get a phone call from a guy down in warner robbins GA. He's looking for an engine and telling me his story and I put 2 and 2 together and asked him if that was his ad that I'd posted on this tread. It was. I told him about this great site and he said that apachedaddy told him as well. He seemed like good guy on the phone. I asked him if he had a good hood and that I would trade my 283 for it. He thinks he might know where one is. He's supposed to get back with me.
