Re: z-ing my frame
It also depends on which transmission tunnel you have (3 spd or 4 spd).

Re: z-ing my frame
I think its 3 speed.how much more room will a 4x4 hump give me.so I can put as much of a z as I can.

Re: z-ing my frame
A 4spd hump will give you more room. you only need to do about a 2 inch Z to lay the truck flat if you are going to bag it. You should be able to do a 2 inch with a 4spd hump, no problem. But you will have to make a tunnel for the driveshaft.

Or use the 2 piece driveshaft should help with the driveshaft issues.

Re: z-ing my frame
I have a 72 burb with a 2" raised x-member( I know not a z but since the questions are driveshaft/trans hump related)
I had the low hump and had to cut out for my trans. My driveline is super close to the floor and may now need a tunnel. It didn't before I removed the body but it was close enough to make me consider one. I'll know more once I put the tub back on. I removed the body to work on the rear notch/4link. Josh
