Didn't know where to post this so .......
I just picked up this lil gem last week for $40 (Not that price isn't a typo)
I had a New 2" 7K lb Bulldog hitch welded on Friday (Had a 1 7/8) My question is, what kind of tires should I run on it to handle abuse? (BTW, It also has the Factory type Overloads under it also) Using a set of 15x6 factory steelies (Not installed yet)

Depending on how much you plan to put in it and how often you would use it and abuse it... I'd suggest running a pair of 8 to 10 ply commercial duty tires. Load range C at least. They will be hard but they will resist punctures better and last a long time. 40 bucks huh? I never run across deals like that.

I'd say it's already been abused. Looks like a hog chewed on that right rear corner. Perfect beat-around-town utility trailer. |

Leafs or coils? I recommend good shocks for a coil spring setup. They tend to sway alot. The heavier tires will help too.

Coils, as mentioned as the overloads, thanks for the tips
on the shocks, it does sway a lil bit in turns, load range C was what I was looking at, found em in 6 ply, enough?

Re: Didn't know where to post this so .......
$40 ??? great deal I would keep same tires. If they handled the loads on the truck before, they should hold just fine. My trailer is the same but 3/4 ton I have stock wheels/tires from 05 Duramax Load range "E". Dont know the difference in capacity between load ranges. I will tell you from experience, keep a jack stand under the bumper if you dont want any freaked out kids or drunk adults when they step on the bumper Its funny til someone starts bleeding

Yeah, they sway a lot, I saw a similar bed-trailer going down the highway behind a Astro-van, all it had in it was some rolls of fiberglass insulation and it was swaying like crazy.

Re: Didn't know where to post this so .......
Well it has 225/75/15 on it now. (One used, and one came
with) Neither of which I wanna test with a heavy load. lol on the rear swaybar. (It would cost more than the trailer)

Re: Didn't know where to post this so .......
Nice score. If you're not going to get crazy with it, I'd run the original tires and just have a good spare handy. Mine is an 8 lugger with leafs. I wish it had trailing arms because I plan on pulling it behind the burb and it would be cool to airbag the trailer so I could drop them both at the same time, . Here's pictures of mine:
