picked up some firewood

Winter is here so I got some firewood. This is a first time I loaded my truck. I noticed brakes work much better with some weight in the bed.

Winter, where? LOL, we have been getting snowed on for three days straight in the rockies(butte, mt). Nice and icy out for everyone to slide around! Nice truck, btw. Love the green.

Re: picked up some firewood

I wouldn`t want it in the 40s in my house.I don`t care what state I`m in.That`s a "just right" load.Nothing to it,but enough to change the ride.

Re: picked up some firewood

Yeah, high 40's at night. I run straight distilled water, maybe I should add some antifreze.

most definately. antifreeze/coolant whatever you want to call it should be used all the time. it stops localized hot spots. plain water can boil off in hot spots and create air pockets. especially in the rear of the heads.
you ever watch a pot of water start to boil? that's happening in your engine.
