NW Monroe Swap Meet...GREAT TIME!

Check out the pics in this link

We expected a weak showing due to weather and the ecomomy but I found some smoking deals on parts. Got my TH400 TC cover, some script valve covers, Custom Camper emblems, 4-core, and another set of 9.75 x 16.5 steel wheels. Just too much fun and great food thanks to Ellen.

Mike, I found a pair of script valve covers for $5! That's the second time now.

Re: NW Monroe Swap Meet...GREAT TIME!

Brad, Was that the mis-matched set of one pre-62 and one one post-62? If not...that was a very good deal. In the spring I could not find any for less than $25 a set! I did see another set of sand blasted covers that were already modified with breather tubes. It was not much of a job so I didn't ask the price. I was already late to start the barbeque so I was hurrin' back to start my cooking chores.

Sorry I missed that.I had alot of laundry to do,I already have script valve covers, and I had to ride over the bay bridge for a set of 9.75x16.5 steelies.Besides,it was alot less gas money.
Looks like great people and and great weather to boot.(whatever that means)

LOL!!!! I think Mustang Skip through his back out lifting one of those wheels! I have so much fun at these...just wish I could have gone back out on Sunday...I am sure I missed something. I got my bargain TH400 TC cover installed and my script valve covers cleaned up.

Re: NW Monroe Swap Meet...GREAT TIME!

It was nice meeting the folks that I did meet. Talk about nice weather. I didnt buy much, just a few things for me and my 15 yr old girl scored a amp and subs for prety cheap. I was there for a bit on Sat and again a couple hours on Sun. Spent the rest of the weekend downtown shopping and in Leavenworth. Nice time, will try to make the spring meet.

Re: NW Monroe Swap Meet...GREAT TIME!

I scored a set of door inspection panels for $3 ea, a new delux heater core and control valve for $80 (cost over $140 for vendors for just the heater core) all for my 55 gasser. Also found a spare truck battery box $5. Also sold a few things to make gas money for the long trip up to Monroe both days. It was nice to talk with Frank and "Chevy Bill" again, those two really make a pair! KUDOS for the cook Mike.
