Timing Mark
Please help im going to do a compleate tune up on my 7o c10 swb it has a 350. I have new MSD wires and cap an rotor with a stock chevy HEI. I am having a hard time seeing my timeing mark on the driverside i have the p/s pump in the way and on the pass side is the alternator an i cant see the timing tab. So how do i time my truck if i cant see the tab.

The stock location of the tab is on the drivers side. My thought would be to move the PS pump if needed.

With the engine stopped, wipe off the timing tab so you can at least see it. Wipe off the balancer and use chalk over the timing mark. Make sure you are in the shade, inside the garage, or in the evening. It is close quarters but there should be enough room between the water pump and the power steering pump to see the mark. The chalk makes it easier to see the mark with the timing light.

Thanks guys I just cot done with it today and the timing mark is at the top I had to look between the waterpump and the timing belt cover stright down.
