Wheel Backspacing

I intend to purchase some rims for my truck (69 GMC 1/2 ton) soon. I want Unique Wheel 240's. The fronts will be 15x7 with 215/70/15's and the rears will be 15x8 with 275/60/15's. The 7's have 0 mm backspacing, and the 8's come with either -12 mm or +6 mm backspacing. The company I buy from does not have the 8's with +6 in stock right now.

I don't really understand backspacing a whole lot, but I heard if it is incorrect it can put unnecessary stress on the suspension components(I assume that is just for the front).

But anyway, would 0 mm up front and -12 mm in the back be alright?
I want to hurry and get the rims if I can before they put out their new catalog and jack up the prices or just run out of these rims.

After a little reasearch, I figure I got backspacing and offset mixed up. I am going to go ahead and order them, because that offset sounds like it should be alright.
