Re: the truck formerly known as project problem child

yes that just happens to be an old dodge step side bed. unfortunately the fleetside that was on there was so fubar'd that i would have put too much time, effort, and money into attempting to make it useable. so i cut 6 1/2" off of the front of the bed to make the bed fit on the blazer frame that this truck is sitting on. also, anyone know what this hood ornament originally came off of? i found it in one of the local wrecking yards and literally walked out the door with the thing in my hand! that was just after i bought a set of doors off of a 60-66 gmc burb that were in worse shape than what mine are.

now i like that i would drive that just the way it sits, and not change a thing. i like the front bumper, looks neat. as for the dodge bed its a little taller and makes it look a little different. but overall a really cool looking truck.

Re: the truck formerly known as project problem child

that's a pretty cool truck-
I went to a local show recently where a guy grafted early 60s chevy fenders onto a 54 f100 bed, with a caddy 429 under the hood!

Here is a bunch of different hood ornaments, but I do not see one that matches that one.

Looks like the hood ornament is possibly an early Oldsmobile?

Definitely a truck that makes you stop and scratch your head...
