Changed my front clip to a 73

I have had this 86 for about 2 years now and have never liked the front end. I have always like the 73-80 fronts more than the 81-87's
So I changed it over to a 73 clip with a goodmark cowlhood.

Sorry for the crappy picture it started raining here.

Came out great. I will agree with you on that... I got an 87 but there is something about the 73-80 that seems more classy. What was the hardest part of the conversion?

Re: Changed my front clip to a 73

73-74 front clips are the best looking out of the entire 73-87 (91) line in my opinion!

Good job, looks great (except the front signals are not 73-74)

I'm wondering the same.

Wasn't the cowl area the main problem of the conversion from 73-80 to 81-87? Does the 73-80 hood cover that up?

Great stuff man!

I love it ! My first truck was a 78 with a 73-74 Cheyenne Super grill. Always been more of a 73-80 fan.

I totally agree. I love the 73-80 front end, but the 73-74 grill really adds some dimension...

I totally agree with you Jeff! I like 'em all but the 73-80 clip just looks way better than the 81-87s. I have thought about doing the same thing to mine. My truck has A/C that works though and I'm not sure if all the A/C parts would swap over, or what would need to be done to make it all work again.

I really like your truck! Glad you posted the pics because the next time that I would have seen you out here on FF highway with your truck looking like it does now I'd sure have been scratching my head trying to figure out if it was a different truck, or the same one with a clip swap! Post up some more pics when you can! ...Joe
