Motor mount diffrences

I am trying to figure out the diffrence between the motor mounts from a 78 with a small block vs big block mounts. The headers I bought say that I must use big block engine mounts. I went to carquest and looked it up the big block mounts have a diffrent part number, the small block and 250 and 292 has all the same part numbers. Can anyone tell me the diff??? Thanks

Re: Motor mount diffrences

I am not really sure of the differences, but I think the BB mounts may be a bit taller. My 73 was a factory 454 truck. Somewhere down the line, the original engine was pulled, and a 350 bolted in. We pulled that out, and put a 454 back in, all using the original mounts. If they are much different, I would imagine it is pretty minor.
