97 Suburban blower fan not working
I have a 97 k2500 Suburban and the heater blower motor is not working. I have replaced the blower motor resistor since many threads say this is a known issue in these but it did not fix the issue. Blower motor works with a direct power feed to it. The power lead to the blower motor will sometimes have a reading of 11.7 volts and other times nothing.
Last night while working on it I was able to tap the panel right next to the fan switch and it would come on in the high position only for a couple of seconds and then go off. It would not come on in any other speed setting. Are the rotary switches on these a problem? If the relay was going out, would it only work on high mode? Thanks for any help. |

Re: 97 Suburban blower fan not working
My 98 has issues with the control head also. When you turn the fan to off, sometimes you can see the A/C light flash on and off. I you turn the switch past off it will quit. I have had the control head replaced under warr once, and it looks like it needs it again. $160 from the dealer.

Re: 97 Suburban blower fan not working
Thanks bwood. That was it. Problem solved. I could tell it had been replaced before as well when I was in there.
