I've used car-part.com a few times with reasonably good success including for older trucks.

We use them all the time with not too many problems. The biggest problem we have is sometimes the condition is over rated and we have to send them back, which is hard if you are buying from a yard far away. We have to use oem parts on most insurance jobs and its agravating when the condition is over stated. Most of the time they will get us a replacement pretty quick. We did have a problem with one company that took to long to get the part but we don't deal with them anymore. Two weeks to get a part from Oklahoma is too long for us.
